The 10% Shift Trick: To find 10% of any number, move the decimal one place to the left (10% of 80 is 8; 10% of 120 is 12).
Halving & Doubling: 50% is simply half of the number. 25% is half of 50%. 5% is half of 10%. Use these friendly benchmarks to compute any percentage.
The 75% Fast Formula: To find 75% of a number, find 25% (divide by 4) and multiply by 3, or simply calculate 50% + 25%.
20% and 5% Extensions: To find 20%, find 10% and double it. To find 15%, find 10% and add half of that (5%).
